What is better than a native friend with an honest opinion, isn’t it? Hereafter some photos of these places.

WHAT TO SEE IN CARINI
The Castle of Carini and the Mother Church (the term refers to the primary church in a diocese) and the main square.

Dear Friends, don’t miss the amazing story of the “Baronessa di Carini”

Dear Friends, we recommend you a walk through the square of Isola delle Femmine and enjoy the delicious fruit “granita”.

Capaci – Isole delle Femmine

WHAT TO SEE IN ISOLA DELLE FEMMINE

Dear Friends, we also recommend you a look to the myth, legends and religion.

The “festa di Santa Maria delle Grazie is every year on the 2nd of July and it is deeply felt by the devotees of the seaside village. As a matter of fact, the patron saint of Isola delle Femmine is very popular with fishermen and it usually ends with fireworks.

A tower at the sea?

The legend says that the island takes its name from a prison only for women. Another story tells of 13 Turkish shipwrecked girls landed and lived there for 7 years until their relatives went to claim them. After that they settled on the coast in front and founded the city of Capaci (the name comes from “Cca Paci”: in peace).

Is there also another tower? Yes, on the pier there is a tower that, together with the one in the island, they were part of a sighting system (from XVI century). Today, both of them are part of circuit of the Coastal Towers of Sicily.

WHAT TO SEE IN SFERRACAVALLO

This territory is part of the natural reserve of Capo Gallo and the sea belongs to the marine reserve of Isola delle Femmine – Capo Gallo. The most characteristic feast of this village is the procession of the saints Cosma and Damiano. Sferracavallo also offers typical restaurants a fantastic atmosphere and a exceptional sea, limpid and crystalline.
